Greg, that is the genuine fuel tap part number.
Im back up in my Bribie Island house Greg.
My 1100RC is still in the garage at the Canberra house but i miss it too much and will get it shipped back here very soon.
Cheers,
JohnSJohnSMemberHi Greg…Great to hear from you. You can still buy the fuel tap assembly from Honda. The part number is 16950-MA4-671. Not sure what bike MA4 is but it must share the same fuel tap. I bought one from Honda 2 years ago and its identical to the old one, expensive at $133 but thats Honda.
Love my RC Greg…always going to have 1x1100R.
Cheers,
JohnSJohnSMemberAwesome bike John and welcome. I have one professionally made copy of RC/RD manual, if your interested. I asked a printer friend to make a copy so that i didnt soil my original. He made 5. Other members have 3, and I have 1, so there is 1 left if your interested. Not selling for any profit, just the cost of materials my friend used. $A20 plus postage…my email is john.lindsay.stevenson@gmail.com

You did well getting that part number. Its a totally unobtainable part from Honda and CMS.
Im in Queensland for the next 2 weeks but will send photos and dimensions, of the part fitted to my RC when I return to Canberra.
Cheers,
JohnSJohnSMemberThats good Vince and makes sense. If the guage wasnt working it would mean an open circuit, bad connection. But since it was reading max, it means a short circuit, shorted to earth.
Cheers,
JohnSJohnSMemberThats great Vince. Thankyou
JohnSJohnSMemberAustralia Glenn…postage to the US from Australia was $A24.
But if you didnt have an original, you wouldnt be able to pick the difference. He does an amazing job for a small amount of money.
Cheers,
JohnSJohnSMemberVince, the temp sensor is on the gear change lever side about 200mm forward from the gear change lever. Check the wire connection to the sensor or replace the sensor itself with peripheral tape on the thread.
Cheers,
JohnSJohnSMemberA skilled printer friend of mine made me an exact replica copy for $A20. I use it so i dont get my original damaged. Anyone who would like an exact printed replica please let me know. My email is john.lindsay.stevenson@gmail.com and I can get him to make extra. Includes foldouts and bound exactly as an original.
Cheers, JohnSJohnSMemberSorry to hear that experience Will. You were obviously a genuine buyer and I completely agree with you walking away with that attitude. I have done the same. Part of a good transaction is not only the item, but its the sellers attitude towards you. I just couldn’t allow myself to hand over hard earned cash, no matter how good the deal.
Cheers
JohnSJohnSMemberNice RD, Will….very interesting ownership history too. Welcome to the club on behalf of Australian Members.
Cheers
JohnSJohnSMemberHi Peter, Ive never seen paint codes for the gold wheels, however I do remember reading an article that said even when new the gold anodization on the wheels (atleast RC) was not exactly the same shade. Being hand build, they did have slight individual differences even from new. Not like we expect today.
Maybe others can add to this.
Regards,
JohnSJohnSMemberNiccolo…nice transformation. Great to see another one of these

JohnSMemberGood to have you back Peter,
