KeymasterHi Martin and welcome to our exclusive band of enthusiasts. There is a Sales/Wants section on the website where you can post the parts you are seeking/selling that might unearth some spares. Interesting to hear that you worked at Honda in the 80’s – was that with the UK Racing part ? We are actively seeking racing records so anything you have will be welcome?
There are a few of us in and around the Midlands so hopefully we can meet up together soon..?
Cheers.. GlennGlenn Kirkham
KeymasterHi Adrian, I had a look at that bike at Stafford. It looks OK visually although it hast lost the exhaust, original indicators, and now has a 900F generator & cover (the R is different I eternally and externally).
I also noticed that the entire bodywork & tank have been repainted at some point.
At the auction £6,500 price it would be a cheap bike. However, why a bike showing such low mileage would require that amount of work & none standard parts struck me as odd…?

KeymasterHi Dale, certainly not my area of expertise but I have heard tell that all rebuild kits are not equal and some have wrong parts in them..?
Are the inlet rubbers sealing as they should, are you using std Airbox etc…?Cheers Glenn

KeymasterHi Peter, I’ve always heard good things about NRP. Not used any 1100r pieces from them myself. The NRP VFR carb parts I have used were fine though.
May be worth looking at Cary Knapton’s Supersport website as well as I believe Cary has kits that he has tested to be ethanol compatible now.
Cheers h season’s greetings..Glenn Kirkham
KeymasterYes Peter, a real shock.. Andre will be sorely missed.

KeymasterHi Ashley and welcome to the fun of chasing faults on 40 year old bikes..
Have you checked the alternator output. Not unknown for windings to go open circuit and/ brushes to fail.?
Cheers…Glenn Kirkham
