Well done Brian and great to hear from you again – I reckon I’d have puffed out my shirt with pride a lot more though if it were me.. ;) Well done Cobber.. 😮

Great ride out on the RB with Simon Brockwell last Friday – a steady 90+ miles around some terrific roads in the Peak district – new brake pads bedded in nicely now ready for Spa tomorrow – Woo Hoo.. 😎
Planning on another run out on the 17th July if anyone fancies joining us.. setting out from Lichfield/Rugeley or anywhere withing 50 miles near…

    Cheers.. Glenn

Got the old beast running, and fitted a new pipe!
After replacing a legion of perished rubber bits, unfreezing brakes etc, it has had it’s first ‘squirt’ around the block.
It absolutely honks, completely surprising me with how well it goes!
Am now mucking about with fibreglass panels, and seeing what I can put together?
Strategy is to get all the basic bits sorted, before stripping the whole thing down for a complete resto.
But as I have a CBX resto to finish first, I might just ride this around a bit to get to know it better?

    Glenn,
Pipe is a DanMoto GP Extreme, (http://www.dan-moto.com) and the whole gig cost US$220 – exceptional value!
Interestingly, the Honda Fireblade ‘kit’ with mid pipe, clamps etc fitted up almost perfectly to the decrepit 4-1 that came with my wreck.
But it is all about the size of the header outlets, and if you contact them they will sort out what version fits best.

Went down to meet up with the members at the Mallory Park .. Bike Bonanza event today. Not much of a Bonanza going off today but the Sun was shining and good fun watching the Honda C50 race 😎
Got the beastie purring along over 125mph on the new 5 mile stretch of the A46 on the way back but blew out the repair I did three years ago to the RD exhaust…. another job to do now Doah !!

Another great ride out with Simon B yesterday – on some great twisty roads around the Peak District – Me on the RB and Simon on his RD – breakfast at ‘The Smithy’ in Moneyash was great – seems the gravel resurfacing plague is upon us once again and I had the front sliding twice not paying enough attention to the road surface where the gravel had not been swept up and built up awaiting unsuspecting motorcyclist. All controlled though although I admit my sphincter was eating the seat pad on one occasion..!! 😮

Anyone else keen to ride out anytime..? 😮

    Cheers.. Glenn
