December 15, 2014 at 6:17 am #12314JohnSMemberI have a 1967 Honda Cub 50. I could see it had had such a hard life, I felt sorry for it stuck in a friends shed, covered in cobwebs. Good little bike but 6v systems are not good.

JohnJohn, I started out with an SS50. That little OHC engine is so simple yet so effective and just keeps on going. I keep looking around and think maybe I should try a recapture my youth.
December 17, 2014 at 11:37 am #12321AndyLMemberI’ve got a couple of CB1100Fs, a couple of original Tenerés and a Thundercat… plus a little MT5.
A wish list would be endless!
December 18, 2014 at 8:10 am #12323JohnSMemberTrev, I know what you mean!… I to am currently looking for another addition to the garage, something cheaper, that I can use as a tourer, reasonably comfortable for a 50 year old that looks half decent style wise.
I keep getting drawn back to bikes like GS1000, CB750/900, CBR1000 (the early 90s ones),
Many of the newer bikes, (possible exceptions, ZXR1200 or Hornet 900) these days just dont enthuse me
Also its difficult to see which of todays bikes will be the classics of tommorrow.JohnS

John!
It appears most of our members are faithful to the Honda brand and while I would like to have an RC30 or SP1 in my garage the reality is I don’t get time to use the R as much as I would like. If I were looking for a modern bike, I think a big trials bike would be on my list of possible list GS, TDM or Tiger, maybe I’d look at a Blackbird or VFR but personally I think the trails bike are a good option.
