September 15, 2018 at 8:38 am #13197NiccoloPMemberHi all, I’m Niccolò from Madrid, Spain (while originally from Rome I moved here 3 years ago).
I’ve joined this forum in first place in 2012 when I bought my CB1100RD and – since I was to restore it – there was (and there is) no better place than this to get infos.
Time has passed and the restoration project took quite long (about 4 years !). Now since I live in Spain I’ve been happily riding this beauty and I kind of miss some mate to share opinions, suggestions, etcSo, please meet her:

Thanks Andy. About the mods:
Front Multistrada 1100s ohlins
Rear Ohlins (should be S36PR1C1LB)
JMC alloy swingarmTriumph 675 wheels
katana 1100 carbs (I’ve tried the Lectron FCR but they were way too much!)
lithium batteryThe engine has no modifications or upgrade, it is actually something I’m thinking about.
Any recommendation about the most cost/effective modifications?Cheers!
September 18, 2018 at 6:10 pm #13206AnonymousInactiveJust going through an engine rebuild myself Niccolo. There are several tried and tested mods that can be done to these engines, several that I am going to be doing myself.
A mod to the oil filter pickup screen body to allow it to flow more oil.
Fitting of Vince & Hyde tensioners and guides to A & B chains.
Mod to primary chain oiler to allow oil flow direct to cam chain.
Replacement clutch rubbers.
Updated part for better gear shift selection.Lots of detailed info on these mods is available on the web based CB1100F.net site. Are you aware of this site?

Thanks for the recommendation Andy.
I actually used to check the cb1100f forum quite a lot when I bought the RD but then I completely forgot about it!
Just checking it now and actually a lot of great stuff, for ex. this postUnfortunately I don’t have sufficient competences nor space for making/modifying my own parts.
Any source for buying special parts/mods?September 26, 2018 at 11:17 am #13211AnonymousInactiveMost of the special / upgraded parts are available from the guys that write about them on the CB1100F.net site and contact details are usually amongst the threads.
This link should be a good starter Niccolo.

I have personally bought valve stem seals, shortened invisible indicator brackets, chain tensioners and guides from some of the guys on the site with no problems.
July 1, 2019 at 8:42 pm #13377AnonymousInactiveGreetings everyone
My name is Robert and I live in Trollhattan,Sweden.I just bought a CB1100RD. Back in the early 90ths I had an RC but unfourtently there was an accident with a car and the girl past away, so to say.
I really loved that bike, I had some others but never was satisfied with them but finally I got one again.
I’m glad to be a proud owner of an iconic CB1100R and also glad to be a member in the club.
Posting some picture of the lady
