That’s a very nice RB and you can see the rounded corners in the Red paint.
June 27, 2013 at 7:31 am #11594Nat_PMemberThat looks very nice. However, if this is the same person that advertised parts on the same website, ( and I think it is ) he is going to want stupid money, as I e-mailed him about some rear shocks he had and he wanted £700 ………..!!! We also need to know exactly what is included from the RD………….
Whats the RB worth ? £ 10 k ?
June 27, 2013 at 12:15 pm #11596AndyLMemberMe too Nat… he was talking £800 for a bare RB seat. He wants absolute top dollar for everything. But then, he has the parts that we want, guess its a seller’s market???
June 27, 2013 at 12:16 pm #11597AndyLMemberAnd eventually he’ll get a bite from someone I would imagine
June 27, 2013 at 1:51 pm #11600Glenn KirkhamKeymasterDon’t forget that Switzerland is not part of the EEC – so anything coming from there into the EEC gets cluted with another 20% vat….
Cheers..

June 28, 2013 at 8:15 am #11604Nat_PMemberVery good point………………
I wont be buying that then. Although It would be interesting to see how they value that @ import point.
Seller of course can give you an invoice, but surely he can write whatever figure you like on that. I had heard a rumor, that irrespective of what is written on an invoice, customs will value it themselves to stop fiddlers. Still , if you paid £5000 for it cant see them seeing this as outside of the price range . As for the ” spares “, would be even more interested to see how customs value that if at all . I certainly have an interest, but given expenses to go get it, ( hire a van /fuel etc etc ) customs / registration hastle + import duty, its worth no more than £6000 to me so thats what i will offer. I am sure it will be rejected, but there is a good £3000 worth of taxes/expenses to get it here, assuming there is nothing wrong with it and it runs.
Feel free to tell me im wrong…………always good to have corroberation of one’s opinions.Regards,
Nat.

Well certainly not RC ones Nick. Could be RD ones but would need to see more detailed pics.
Looks in good condition though. As with anything, someone needs to buy it before we all rejoice at the inflated values of our bikes. Time will tell I guess.
August 22, 2013 at 9:13 pm #11700Nat_PMemberI would sell my RD for that.
August 22, 2013 at 9:16 pm #11701Trevor HughesKeymasterIf this is the bike I think it is it would appear to changed hands many times in the last few years.
A previous owner had it restored at Motorcycle Restoration Company
http://www.motorcyclerestorationcompany.com/photo-gallery/recent-restorations/
and it was displayed on their stand at Stafford. The quality of the work is excellent, however it has not been restored to standard. The inside of the fairing is white, the tail is blue on the top etc. Clearly the restoration was extensive its just a shame its not to everyone’s taste. -
