Yes I do think 15k is probably over what most enthusiasts would be willing to pay, I was thinking the bike would appeal to a collector who may only lay it up somewhere. Prices have been going up on other rare Hondas (and other classic bikes, better than bank interest I suppose) but knowing the CB1100R prices isn’t as easy as they don’t come up for sale all that often. It’s not sold yet but if it does go I’ll drop a line on here.
Thinking of selling my Honda CB1100R 1982. Bike is in very good condition Anyone interested ? Bike is located in Norway near Oslo.
Lots of questions / offers of PX and sending of photos but nothing solid yet
it seems people who have been in touch prefer clean but not necessarily original examples which I found odd if looking for a bike like an R, each to their own I suppose
Sold for £5700, a chap called Karl won who had contacted me this morning just before the auction ended, I’ve said the club will come in useful durning the coming months during the restoration!
The pictures were very dark and didnt really show much detail. It did say complete, but round rear indicators put a special meaning to the word complete. I think if it was in Australia it would have gone higher.
How did you get on with the sale of your R Daniel? Much interest?
My R JWS444X has been sold now Andy, a chunk less than my asking price but it’s gone to a genuine buyer who will use it to ride not just look at like me!
Dan. I pleased you have managed to find a buyer who hopefully will enjoy using the bike. Your bike certainly was one of the most original and low mileage RC’s I am aware of and hope you reached a deal somewhere close to your asking price.
